Air-core inductors are inductors that do not use a magnetic core (like ferrite or iron) and instead have their wire coil wound around non-magnetic materials such as plastic, ceramic, or simply air. Without a core to concentrate the magnetic field, air-core inductors offer high linearity, low core losses, and excellent performance at high frequencies.
