Ferrite core inductors are inductors that use ferrite material as the magnetic core around which the coil is wound. Ferrite is a ceramic compound composed of iron oxide mixed with other metallic elements. It has high magnetic permeability and low electrical conductivity, which helps concentrate the magnetic field and reduce eddy current losses—especially at high frequencies.
