Rhodium is a rare, hard, and expensive silver-white precious metal with an atomic number of 45, belonging to the platinum group of metals. The melting point is as high as 1966°C, and the boiling point is 3727°C. It has very high corrosion and high-temperature resistance and is often used in automotive catalysts.
